Commenting on the conviction of Zakaria Boufassil for giving money to a suspect in the Paris and Brussels terror attacks during a meeting in Birmingham, Change Britain founding supporter Dominic Raab said:

‘This is a sobering reminder of the dangers of EU Free Movement rules, and why Britain will be safer outside the EU’s single market. It’s wrong that those plotting terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels could travel without being stopped to Birmingham to get paid. Outside the EU we will be able to strengthen preventative checks at the border, as well as UK powers to remove criminals.’

Zakaria Boufassil has been found guilty of giving £3,000 to Mohamed Abrini – a suspect in both the Brussels and Paris terror attacks – in July 2015 in Birmingham (BBC, December 2016, link)
